About The Show
Brian Wilmer has been a sports journalist since 2002, and has been a host
on the show (formerly called The Writers Radio) since 2005. Brian also maintains
a regular series called At The Ballpark, where he chronicles trips to various
ballparks around the country, and his event coverage includes the 2005 Music
City Bowl in Nashville, Tennessee.
Ed Barnes founded the show along with Brian in 2005, and is still a contributor to the program. Ed is a producer for Channel 4 San Diego, and his duties include production for San Diego Padres baseball and the nightly Channel 4 program Postgame. Ed has also done work for NBC Sports, CBS Sports and FOX, among others.
Sports Matters takes a look at current issues around the world of sport with a hard-hitting, honest and unscripted feel. The show aims to exercise the mind of sports fans and to involve everyone in the conversation.
